BALTIMORE BOMBERS (99-63 2nd)
This franchise has got to win NOW. The city's morale is up for grabs as this team has finished 2nd five years running. Red Montgomery (17-8 4.94), Benny Castro (7-3 3.25), and Pete Hidalgo (10 -6 5.15) are this teams young guns who need to step up and keep the hitters from getting on base. Omar Justice (28 SB) has a set of tires on him that should keep any pitching staff nervous when he's aboard. Rico Valdiva (.319 18 94) provides the power to light up the opposing staffs.
AUGUSTA DELORIANS (49-113 3rd)
As the Simon and Garfunkel song goes, "Oh where have you gone Joe Dimaggio....." (and Nolan Ryan, Babe Ruth, Walter Johnson.... you get the picture). New GM Kickdrum has got his work cut out for him. Moving this train wreck to Augusta may help the hitters (with average winds heading out at 20+ MPH) but the pitching staff needs major steroids. Vincente DeRojas (12-3 3.90 combined MiL) joins a staff that is waving the white flag. Miguel Tejera (.235 20 64) and Gregg Kapler (.242 14 58) as well as Free Agent Derek Cather hope to put some runs on the board.
INDIANAPOLIS BUFFALOS (42-120 4th)
When you average 46 wins over the past three seasons, it's hard to compete at the ML level. Indy has the majority of their players on the plus side of 30, and they need to start looking at the farm system to replace these guys. Harry Benoit (11-9 4.22) leads a young ragtag staff that just might surprise. With such players as Chris Gabriel and Dick Donovan waiting in AAA with bags packed, Indy could finally climb out of the basement.
PAWTUCKET PORKCHOPS (120-42 1st)
What kind of team loses 8 players to free agency (Brendan Ball resigned) and still looks to win the division? Pawtucket is the answer to that one. Josh Cook, Paxton Hiatt, and Andre Thomas lead the batsmen looking to destroy opposing pitchers. Geraldo Jacquez (20-5 2.93) and Galahad McGee (15-3 4.75 4 SV) are two of the teams top pitchers looking to stop hitters on a regular basis.
Predictions
Pawtucket Porkchops 100-62
Baltimore Bombers 99-63
Indianapolis Buffalos 55-107
Augusta Delorians 45-117

AL North Preview
COLUMBUS CLIPPERS (92-70 3rd)
The Clippers bring back an experienced squad that although finishing 22 games over .500 stil finished third in the division. Luis Gonzalez (.261 27 83) and Chet Peterson (.291 37 97) lead a potent hitting attack with Stufy Rupe (9-9 5.16), Moises Pescado (8-6 5.05), and Danys Cortazar (14-8 4.18) leading the pitching. Yout seems to be the only weakness in this team.
NEW YORK KNIGHTS (72-90 4th)
The Knights come into season 11 with losing Curtis Cone to Free Agency but signing Shane Kirby (.319 14 95 in AAA season 8) and Clyde Bowie ( 4-1 2.76 3 SV). This team is going to need reliable leadership from such players as Frank Chen (.284 41 90), Ray Diaz ( 11-15 4.33) and staff ace Carson Ray (11-10 4.39). If any of these key players falter, Mayor Bloomberg might ship this team out to Jersey.
TACOMA RAIN ( 96-66 2nd)
Tacoma has been the perennial yo-yo in this division for more than 3 years. Reliable big league play has kept this franchise close to .500 but last year was the team's breakout year. Led by Ramiro Espinoza (.272 18 89) and Bingo Mordecai ( 14-14 3.86), Tacoma looks to improve and possiby win the division. Free agent signing Blaine Douglass still is trying to fit into the ML roster and Clyde Bowie moves across the country( but stays in the same division). Tacoma needs more support from its minors to compete.
DETROIT MACHINE (101-61 1st)
What do you get with a team that has won 200 games in the last 2 years? The class of the division. Detroit comes into season 11 looking to continue its dominance of this division and brings Teddy Inge (8-6 4.24) on board to bolster the no. 5 starter position.Doug Holtz (.282 46 146) although only being 23 yrs. old has stepped to the front of this team as its face of the franchise. J.J. Damon (23-5 2.70) last year's AL Cy Young leads a power packed pitching staff into action.

Detroit Machine 99-63
Columbus Clippers 90-72
Tacoma Rain 81-81
